NPCs
✿ In Town ✿

Isabelle

Isabelle is the mayor's highly capable secretary. She can be forgetful sometimes, but you can always count on her for information about the town. She wears her hair up in a bun that makes her look like a shih tzu. Mostly because she is one! She also has a twin brother named Digby.

Digby

Isabelle's twin brother, Digby, works at the Happy Home Showcase (where player characters live by default), but if he needs a quick break, he'll head down to the Roost for a cup of coffee. He takes Blue Mountain, black, no sugar, whereas his sister likes her coffee with a lot of milk and three sugars. For some reason, an order that doesn't include "a lot of milk" sounds more mature.

Brewster

The proprietor of the Roost, a coffee shop in the wider town. He's very closemouthed, preferring to let the coffee he brews speak for itself. The Roost is also visited from time to time by other residents. If you drop by frequently, Brewster will warm up and begin to engage in conversation.

Copper & Booker

The guards stationed at the town gate through which travelers come and go - now mixed with the train station. Copper, who's on the right, is in charge of traveling via the trains, and Booker on the left runs the lost and found. Booker's a cute fellow who's known for his indecisive manner...maybe. Copper's diligent, dedicated, and always ready to lend a helping paw.

Reese & Cyrus

From their names, you might guess they're a pair of country singers, but actually they run Re-Tail. Reese sells all kinds of secondhand goods, and Cyrus customizes furniture. They may not be singers, but these exuberant alpacas work together in perfect harmony.

Pete

Delivering the mail keeps Pete very busy. He takes great pride in his work, and he sometimes looks like he's in need of sleep. That isn't because he's working too hard— thinking about his crush on Phyllis keeps him up at night! He doesn't let that stop him from getting to work early, though.

✿ On Main Street ✿

Tom Nook

Currently the owner of Nook's Homes, yes, yes. "Yes, yes" is his favorite catchphrase. Despite all the money he's earned, he'll never lose that down-to-earth charm. With such a friendly demeanor, there's just no way he could be trying to rip you off. So trustworthy, yes, yes! He assists people upgrade their homes, once they get MEOW Coupons from Optional Activity.

Timmy & Tommy

These twin brothers operate the Nookling stores - currently Nookling Junction. Thanks to Tom Nook's teachings, they are just as talented as he is and run Nookling Junction with such success that it can expand several times. Despite their success, they never forget the core value of good customer service.
Sable & Mabel

Sisters who run the Able Sisters tailor shop. Mabel's the younger sibling, the one who deals with customers. Her older sister, Sable, sits at the sewing machine in the back of the shop. Sable's shy and will look slightly miffed if you speak to her. If you drop by to chat with her every day, however, she'll gradually warm up and share some stories with you.
Blathers & Celeste

Blathers, the elder of this pair, is curator of the town museum, and he's in charge of the insect, art, fish, and fossil displays. He's quite knowledgeable and shares what he knows about donations. He's in charge of donated bugs but hates the majority of them. His younger sis, Celeste, is in charge of the museum's observatory. She's cute even with her feathers ruffled.

The two of them find the strange trophies they now collect a little weird, but it's fine! Really!
Wisp

When cute lil Wisp shows up in the first Animal Crossing, he shyly asks players to help him collect five spirits before dawn. Surprisingly, you can just use any old bug net for the job! In Animal Crossing: Let's Go to the City, he appears as a lamp spirit with a fear of ghosts. Odd thing for a spirit to be scared of, don't you think? And now Wisp aids in sorting and finding items from characters' homes...

Pelly and Phyllis

Sisters who work at the town hall, which is open 24 hours a day. The younger Pelly is at the window from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m., while Phyllis has the night shift. Pelly's cheerful and polite manner makes her the model of good customer service. Phyllis, however, is snooty and treats everyone with impatience and disdain. That said, she's very efficient at her job.

Kicks

Hello, chum! This friendly shoe shop owner used to shine shoes in the city, but now he's managed to save up enough money for his own little shop in town. His outfit might make him look like he sweeps chimneys for a living, but don't worry - you definitely won't find any soot on his wares, awright?

✿ In The City ✿

Harriet

If you want a haircut that'll make you feel brand new, pay a visit to Harriet's salon. Shampoodle. She'll ask you a few quick questions, and before you can say "sugar", you'll have the hairdo of your dreams.

Frillard

Ready for a real thrill? Frillard is getting up there in years and doesn't appear on stage all that often, but if you're lucky enough to catch one of his shows, you're in for a real treat! Frillard will spread that frill and show you emotion in motion. Dr. Shrunk is a student of his, but that frill gag is one only the master can do.

Dr. Shrunk

Dr. Shrunk definitely has a...unique look about him. As the owner of Club LOL, a new entertainment venue currently relocation to the City, he isn't shy about taking the stage. It's too bad his jokes don't always fly. If you want a taste of his humor, take him some treats before the show starts!

Gracie

Gracie is a celebrity fashion designer who is really pretty critical of others. She'll happily let you know if your current look is hip or hippy, if you ask her. Aside from style reviews, she also runs her own little boutique, which she feels is a sanctuary from all the awful style choices. However, she's not allowing any of these new people visit it yet...!!

Redd

Redd runs an art gallery...of sorts. He'll try to smooth-talk you into buying his items, but be careful! Occasionally some counterfeit items slip in among the real ones. And by "sometimes" I mean "always." Brushing up on your art history may help you spot the real deal! In A New Leaf, he has his own gallery of Trophies... but they all seem weird.
K.K. Slider

A wandering musician. He plays concerts every Saturday night at the Roost in the basement of the museum. All he carries is a single acoustic guitar, but he can play music from all genres. You can request a single tune per concert, and afterward he'll give you a recording of the song to take home. He seems to create more songs as time goes on.

You might get a glimpse of him in the City during the days he's not performing.

✿ Elsewhere ✿

Kapp'n

Kapp'n is a man of many talents: taxi driver, bus driver, and now sailor of the boat that takes tourists to Sunburst Island. He loves taking people places, no matter what the method, but now he's back to his roots. You might assume that his favourite letter is the letters arrr, but you'd be wrong: his one true love is the C.
Tortimer

Many cultures around the world see the tortoise as a symbol of great age and wisdom, and Tortimer embodies both in spades. A former town mayor, he now lives a slightly quieter life organising island tours and giving out medals. The Hawaiian shirt definitely wasn't part of his mayoral attire.

Katrina

A panther in mystical clothes who tells fortunes. Once in a while she'll set up her tent in town. Visit her for a teaser of what's in store for you - including what item will bring you luck that day. She bases her predictions on your birthday, so make sure you enter it correctly! If you put it in wrong, that would be...un-fortune-ate!

Lloyd

Gyroids are a common sight in the Animal Crossing series. In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, a Gyroid named Lloid dons a helmet and collects funds for public works. During events in A New Leaf, Lloyd will give information on what's going on!

Saharah

A trader who comes from afar to deliver merchandise. However, since she always forgets to bring a town map, she needs help making her deliveries. Once you've helped her finish all of her tasks, she'll reward you with a gift. Her unique way of phrasing is part of her exotic charm. It is a fine thing, yes?

Wendell

A famous painter who wanders about with a large rucksack on his back. When he arrives in town, he's so hungry he can barely stand. While you think it's probably a good idea to give him something to eat, it's hard to figure out what that should be. That being said, he looks really hungry and would likely devour anything given to him.
